Remember how awesome Sacramento Bacon Fest was? Well, it’s back–with a tomato and lettuce twist. Heirloom tomatoes are finally in season, and bacon is always in season, so it’s a perfect time to celebrate everyone’s favorite summer sandwich: The BLT! All week, local restaurants are creating their own unique spins on the BLT; go out and try one at The Golden Bear, Bacon & Butter, Mulvaney’s B&L, Restaurant Thir13en, The Grange, Blackbird Kitchen and Bar, The Shady Lady, Magpie Cafe and Caterers,  Doughbot (a BLT donut!), and of course, Fat Face. To end this week of BLT madness, we are hosting a party and awards night at Bows on the 21st from 6-9:30 PM.

The party at Bows will mark the end of Saturday’s BLT Bike Crawl, which is unfortunately sold out, but our event is wide open and FREE for everyone! Only the Bike Crawl ticket holders will be able to sample all of the BLTs, but anyone can purchase Fat Face’s awesome BLP (bacon-lettuce-pear) sammie and there will be happy hour prices all night long. DJs will be playing music, awards will be given for the best BLT, and you can buy one of these cool shirts:
